Into The Woods Print
This print collection consists of 6 coordinated prints. The theme is an extension of the Apparel Design project titled ‘Into The Woods’. | 2022
I used my Mum’s paintings as an inspiration for the motifs, along with some dried flowers and leaves that I have collected over the years. I made digital renders of the motifs, making each with multiple lines to show the feeling of stress. The lines are limited to the borders, showing the feeling of being trapped. The final product was a canvas tote bag with the mother print.
The assignment brief was to take the pandemic as our inspiration for the collection. COVID-19 has affected each of us in many different ways. For me, it turned my world around. My moodboard shows how I felt, trapped, scared and lost. The moment before you feel like you are out of the woods, still immersed in the darkness.
